For the cold forming of metals
This technology is highly specialised for the cold forming of metals from rod, wire and sheet as well as for tube manufacturing. It contains films for lubrication, and those for separation.
The “Topcoat” is always the lubricating film. The “filming” is carried out either directly onto the metal surface or onto the previously applied separating film. The separating film has no lubricating properties itself, but it significantly supports the lubricating film during extreme forming.
Lubricating films form the ZWEZ-Lube products. These do not contain any oils, but generate a dry, thin and very strongly adhesive lubricating film onto the workpiece surfaces. The film is made of a combination of organic and inorganic compounds. The aqueous dispersion/emulsion is applied by immersion, flooding or spraying. After forming, the films remain on the parts as temporary corrosion protection, or get washed off. The ZWEZ-Lube films do not contain any heavy metals or other environmentally problematic materials.
Separating films are conversion coatings, which are generated on the workpiece surfaces with ZWEZ-Coat products, mainly by immersion into an aqueous solution. The composition is specifically designed for the type of metal being coated: phosphates for iron workpieces, oxalates for stainless steel and aluminates for
